New Bottling Line Belt Saves Hours During Replacement
A major food processor contacted our Worcester office to help with a belt replacement on their bottling line. The old belt required 2-3 hours of downtime, as it was a factory-bonded item. This meant the motor and entire side of the conveyor had to be removed in order to replace the belt.
The BSC Industries rep teamed up with Noble Industrial Sales Corp and brought in a Chiorino Fast Joint belt system. This finger-laced belt is a specialty anti-static vacuum belt that can be bonded on the spot. The installation of the belt took 10 minutes to cook and cool, with no chemicals – just heat and pressure.
The ease of the Fast Joint belt process, combined with the speed, will save the OEM substantially on installation and downtime when they change a belt. And, the minimal cost of this solution will be recovered the first time a new belt is installed.
