Boston Gear® HLSK102Y-L Spiral Miter Gear With Keyway and Setscrew, 12 Diametral Pitch, Left Hand Tooth Spiral, 20 deg Pressure Angle, 18 Teeth, 1-1/2 in Dia Pitch, 0.34 in W Face, 5/8 in Dia Bore, Steel
Boston miter gears are designed for the transmission of motion and power between two intersecting shafts positioned at a right angle. Miter gears are similar to bevel gears except miter gears are used for 1:1 ratios. Straight tooth miter gears are cut with a generated "Coniflex" tooth form providing increased life and quieter operating conditions. Spiral tooth miter gears are better suited for higher speeds and high torque applications.
