SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED IN PAPER MILL

Our team in Windsor Locks, CT and Folding Guard recently worked with a local paper mill in need of safety enhancements. Many of the employees had been working on their machines since 1973, which meant not only making equipment upgrades, but getting employee buy-in. The parent company is also European, so considerations had to be made to meet their stringent safety regulations.

Working with the company’s project engineers, the BSC Industries team had a series of walk-throughs and demonstrations designed to meet the employees and demonstrate how the safety enhancements would improve the facility.

The final safety plan relocates equipment throughout the facility and places Folding Guard Saf-T-Fence® around 37 machines. This fencing system is modular and manufactured for an exact fit and easy assembly.
